Please make sure you have street address numbers on your home or business building. Please place the numbers in plain view on your home or building so they are visible from the street. The numbers should be large enough to see from the street and of a contrasting color from the building. This is for your safety so emergency responders may locate your building easily. On Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the Open Air Market park, 305 W. Water Street, Fayette, there was a memorial dedication ceremony to honor Pfc. James Lee, USMC, the only Fayette person to lose his life in the Vietnam war. It was a beautiful day and a great crowd. You may visit the bench at the Open Air Market park in Fayette. An antique car club was in Fayette on June 25, 2015. The old vehicles are parked on Main Street in front of Pavo Blue Coffee & Gift Shop.
Watermelon Days 2015 was a great success! There were many people who showed up to enjoy all the activities and entertainment.
